At SALT, protecting your data and ensuring compliance with industry regulations are our top priorities. Below, you’ll find key details on our privacy policy, security measures, data collection policies, and compliance updates.
Privacy & Security Resources

Policy on Social Security Numbers (SSNs)
SALT does not collect, store, or process Social Security Numbers (SSNs) due to the high risk of identity fraud and associated liability. While some carriers require SSNs, SALT does not support or assume responsibility for handling this sensitive information.
Although users may attempt to collect SSNs via custom fields, our team is actively working to block all fields from accepting SSNs to maintain security.
If carriers require SSNs, we strongly recommend that agencies consult them directly for secure collection methods, as SALT cannot provide guidance or support for this process.
Removal of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from Email Notifications:
To safeguard user privacy, SALT automatically removes PII from all email notifications. This ensures that sensitive information does not get exposed through email channels, which are often vulnerable to unauthorized access.
TCPA Compliance:
To ensure compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), SALT has implemented updates to its consent process:
• A consent statement is now included at the beginning of every SALT Form, ensuring prospects understand and agree to communication policies upfront.
• A consent statement is also required when customers enter or update their phone number in their SALT profile.
These changes clarify that our policy applies to both SALT customers and affiliated companies, covering both your agency and your prospects. For full details, please review our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

SALT Employee Permissions:
SALT offers role-based permissions to help admins control employee access. Admins can limit specific permissions but cannot restrict which submissions are viewable within the system.
Current permission categories include:
• Create Submissions – Employees can create and edit their own submissions.
• Manage Submissions – Allows users to manage any submission at a given location.
• Create Forms – Employees can create and edit their own forms.
• Manage Forms – Grants access to manage all forms for a location.
• Employees – Provides access to invite, remove, and manage employee accounts.
• Location Settings – Enables management of statuses, tags, and other settings.
• Integrations – Allows activation and management of integrations.
• Declaration Page Requests – Provides access to manual declaration page requests.
• Billing – Grants access to account plans and billing information.
For a full breakdown of permissions and how to configure them, admins/owners can refer to their Employees section.
'Contact Verification' and 'State Filter' Steps:
As part of our security features within the Form's questions, SALT incorporates contact verification and state filters:
Contact Verification: This feature allows agents to require prospects to confirm access to their mobile phones. This step acts as a security measure to verify the identity of the user.
State Filter: This feature enables agents to restrict form submissions to users within specific states, ensuring that forms are not filled out by individuals outside the targeted areas.
Spam Mitigation Tools:
To protect against spam and unauthorized access, SALT offers a comprehensive suite of spam mitigation tools (Learn more here):
SpamFilter: This tool checks a subset of conditions to identify and filter out spam submissions.
SpamBlocker: An aggressive IP blocker that prevents known bad IP addresses from accessing SALT forms.
Google reCAPTCHA: This frontline tool helps ensure that users are human by requiring them to complete a CAPTCHA test, although it may not always be 100% effective.
