Submission throughput
Submission Throughput visualizes Submission volume across time with optional filters for Status, Tag, Form, and Link. Use it to monitor agency performance, spot trends, and forecast capacity.
In short: Throughput shows how many Submissions you’re getting day by day, week by week, month by month. Filter by Status to see won/lost trends, by Form to compare products, by Link to compare channels.
What’s plotted
The throughput report charts Submission volume across time. You can usually:
- Pick a date range
- Filter by Status, Tag, Form, Link
- Switch granularity (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Compare period over period (this month vs last month)
The chart usually displays as a time series; some configurations also offer table views.
What to look at
- Total volume trend — is your agency growing? declining? plateauing?
- Won/Lost mix over time — your conversion is changing as volume changes?
- Day-of-week patterns — Mondays vs Fridays look different?
- Seasonal effects — summer surges? Holiday slowdowns?
- Spike detection — was there a one-off campaign that drove a spike?
How this differs from Form Insights
- Form Insights zooms into how Forms perform — view-to-completion conversion per Form. It’s about Form quality.
- Submission Throughput is about Submission volume — how many you’re producing in absolute terms across the agency.
Together they tell the full story: throughput shows you the size of the funnel, Form Insights shows you the conversion through it.
Forecasting capacity
Use throughput trends to plan capacity:
- If volume is growing 10% month-over-month, project when you’ll exceed your plan’s monthly Submission limit
- Identify when you’d need additional user seats based on per-agent submission count
- Plan partner activations around current throughput trends
Combining with cost tracking
Cross-reference throughput with Data Credit usage:
- More Submissions usually mean more dec page requests, more property data pulls, etc.
- If your throughput doubled, expect Data Credit consumption to roughly double too
- Auto-reload thresholds may need adjustment as growth scales
Common questions
Throughput is volatile day-to-day. Should I worry? Day-level volatility is normal — weekends, holidays, marketing pulses. Look at weekly or monthly trends for signal.
Can I drill into a specific day to see the actual Submissions? Where supported, click into a date in the chart to see Submissions from that day. Otherwise, filter the Submissions list by that date range.
How far back does throughput data go? As far as your account has data. SALT retains Submission history; Reports surfaces all of it.
Will sample submissions skew my throughput? Sample submissions are excluded from production reports by default. Verify your filter excludes them if numbers look off.
