HawkSoft integration guide

HawkSoft integration sends completed Submissions to HawkSoft for intake into your AMS workflow. Standard SALT fields (Insureds, vehicles, properties, contacts) map to HawkSoft fields directly. Custom Questions and non-standard data may not transfer — check the data mapping reference.

In short: Connect HawkSoft via the integration setup, choose which Forms should sync, and completed Submissions push to HawkSoft. Standard fields map automatically; non-standard data may not.

What syncs to HawkSoft

When a Submission completes on a Form with HawkSoft enabled:

  • Contact information (name, address, phone, email)
  • Insured records and basic profile data
  • Vehicle records (make, model, year, VIN, garaging address)
  • Property records (address, characteristics)
  • Coverage preferences (where applicable)
  • Documents (attachment support depends on configuration)

The sync runs after Submission completion. HawkSoft creates or updates the appropriate records in your AMS.

What may not sync

HawkSoft has a defined field map. Data outside that map doesn’t transfer:

  • Most Custom Questions — unless the field is explicitly mapped, the answer stays in SALT
  • Non-standard text fields
  • Arbitrary integration response data from other vendors

Connect HawkSoft

    Open Integrations on your account.

    Find HawkSoft and click connect.

  3. 3

    Provide your HawkSoft credentials (typically API key and account ID).

  4. 4

    Configure default settings — which HawkSoft account and folder receive new records.

  5. 5

    Toggle on the Forms that should sync.

  6. 6

    Test by submitting a sample on one of the toggled Forms and verifying it appears in HawkSoft.

Documents

Where document sync is supported:

  • Documents uploaded to the Submission attach to the HawkSoft record
  • Standard file types apply (PDF, JPEG, PNG, GIF, WEBP, up to 25 MB)
  • Larger files or non-supported types are skipped silently — verify by checking the destination

Troubleshooting

If Submissions aren’t appearing in HawkSoft:

  • Check integration status. Disabled, needs reauth, or unconfigured prevents sync.
  • Check Form toggle. The Form must have HawkSoft enabled.
  • Check HawkSoft for the record. Sometimes it lands but in a different folder than expected.
  • Check the timing. Sync is async — give it a minute or two.
  • Look at the integration’s recent error log for vendor-specific errors. Permission issues, rate limits, or schema validation failures often surface there.

Address resolution

Auto policies: uses property address if home flow is included and the property has an address; otherwise uses the primary insured’s current address.

Home policies: uses property address if available; otherwise falls back to the primary insured’s current address.

Formatting notes

  • Coverage limits are cleaned to remove currency symbols and formatting before sending
  • Dates are formatted as MM/DD/YYYY
  • Boolean fields send as “Yes”/”No” or true/false depending on the field
  • Phone numbers are sent as-is — no formatting is applied by SALT

Common questions

Why does my Custom Question data not appear in HawkSoft? HawkSoft has a fixed field map. Custom Questions don’t automatically map. For a specific Custom Question to sync, your field map needs to be extended — contact support if this is critical.

Can I push the same Submission to HawkSoft twice? The integration is designed to fire once per Submission completion. For manual re-push, use HawkSoft’s own re-import or contact support.

How do I disable HawkSoft for a single Form? Open the Form’s integrations tab and toggle HawkSoft off for that Form. The integration stays connected for other Forms.

Does HawkSoft sync count against my Data Credits? No. Data Credits cover paid lookups (property data, dec pages). CRM/AMS integrations like HawkSoft don’t consume Data Credits.
