EZLynx integration guide
EZLynx integration sends Submission data into EZLynx for comparative rating. Setup includes account-level credentials and (for some workflows) per-user EZLynx usernames so quotes are attributed to the right agent.
In short: Connect EZLynx with your account credentials, optionally configure per-user EZLynx usernames so quotes attribute correctly, and toggle the integration on for Forms that should rate.
What syncs to EZLynx
When a Submission completes (or is manually sent) and EZLynx is enabled:
- Insured and contact details
- Drivers, vehicles (for auto), property details (for home)
- Coverage preferences and requested limits
- Prior carrier and policy info (where captured)
EZLynx returns rating responses that SALT stores against the Submission. You see the quote results in the Submission’s detail view.
The per-user EZLynx username
EZLynx ties some rating workflows to the agent submitting — quotes attribute to whichever EZLynx user account ran them. SALT supports per-user EZLynx usernames so each agent’s quotes attribute to their own EZLynx login.
If your agency’s setup needs this:
-
1
Each agent enters their EZLynx username in their SALT user profile (where supported).
-
2
SALT uses that username when sending the agent’s Submissions to EZLynx.
-
3
Quotes appear under the agent’s EZLynx account.
If no per-user username is set, SALT uses the account-level EZLynx credentials.

Why some fields aren’t sent
Not every SALT field maps to EZLynx. The two systems have different data shapes — what you capture in SALT may not have a place in EZLynx’s rating engine.
A common example: Occupation is captured by SALT for some Forms but isn’t part of EZLynx’s standard rating flow. The data stays in SALT (where you can use it for export, follow-up, or another integration); it just doesn’t push to EZLynx.
If a specific field isn’t reaching EZLynx and you need it to, check EZLynx’s documentation for whether they accept the field, then contact support to discuss field mapping.
Quote response handling
After EZLynx returns a rating response, SALT stores it on the Submission:
- Available carriers and their quote amounts
- Acceptance/decline reasons per carrier
- Any flags or warnings
You can see the quote response in the Submission’s detail view and use it to advise the prospect.
Troubleshooting failed sends
If an EZLynx send fails:
- Check integration status. “Needs reauth” or disabled prevents sending.
- Check the Form toggle. EZLynx must be enabled on the Form.
- Check the Submission for missing required fields. EZLynx requires certain data; missing fields cause rejection.
- Check the recent error log for EZLynx-specific errors. Field validation failures, account permission issues, and rate limits are common.
Common questions
Why are my quotes attributed to the wrong agent in EZLynx? The agent’s EZLynx username isn’t set on their SALT profile. Have them add it, then re-send.
Can I rate the same Submission twice? Manual re-rate is supported (where the UI offers it). The new rating response replaces or augments the previous one depending on configuration.
Does EZLynx sync count toward Data Credits? No. EZLynx is a comparative rater, not a data provider. Data Credits cover paid lookups (Estated, Fenris, MeasureOne, etc.).
Which questions actually get sent to EZLynx? See Which questions are sent to which integration.
