Branding a form

Branding flows from your agency's defaults to each Form, with optional per-Link overrides. Upload your agency's logo at the agency level for the simplest setup. Forms can also carry their own logo and brand image where you want a Form-specific look.

In short: Set account-level branding (logo, color theme, illustration preferences) and most Forms inherit it automatically. Override at the Form level for Form-specific branding, or at the Link level for per-campaign looks.

How branding flows

SALT’s branding is layered:

  • Account level — your default agency brand. Logo, color theme, logo padding, illustration toggle. Set once; all Forms inherit it.
  • Form level — optional Form-specific overrides. Useful for a Form that needs its own logo or imagery (for example, a referral partner intake or a co-branded campaign).
  • Link level — optional Link-specific overrides for color theme, logo padding, and illustrations. Different Links to the same Form can look different. See Customizing a Link’s branding.

Most agencies set branding at the account level once and rarely override below.

What you can brand

What Where it’s set Notes
Logo (image) Account or Form Form-level logo overrides the account logo for consumers visiting that Form
Color theme Account, overridable per Link Accents on buttons, focus rings, selected states
Logo padding Account, overridable per Link Visual breathing room around the logo
Hide illustrations Account, overridable per Link Strips SALT’s default decorative illustrations
Brand image (header) Form Sets a custom header image on the Form
Open Graph (social share) Form, overridable per Link The image and title that shows when the Link is shared on social media. See Social share customization.

Set account-level branding

This is the baseline. Every Form on your account inherits these settings unless explicitly overridden.

  1. 1

    Open your agency’s settings.

  2. 2

    Find the Branding section.

  3. 3

Upload your logo, pick a color theme, set logo padding, and toggle illustrations on or off.

  4. 4

    Save.

Your changes apply to every Form (and every Link) that doesn’t have an explicit override.

Set Form-level branding

Use Form-level branding when this particular Form needs a different logo or header image than your agency default — common with referral partner forms or co-branded campaigns.

  1. 1

Open the Form you want to brand.

  2. 2

Find the branding settings on the Form.

  3. 3

Toggle on the option to use a Form-specific brand (sometimes labeled “Custom branding” or similar).

  4. 4

Upload the Form-specific logo and any header/brand image.

  5. 5

    Save.

Form-level branding overrides the agency default for any Link that doesn’t have its own override.

For situations where two Links to the same Form should look different — your main Link uses your colors, but a referral partner’s Link uses theirs — see Customizing a Link’s branding. Link-level overrides only apply to consumers visiting that specific Link’s URL.

Common questions

Can I have different logos for different Links to the same Form? The Form’s logo is shared across its Links. Per-Link branding overrides color and illustration settings, not the logo itself. To use a different logo per audience, the cleanest path is a separate Form for that audience.

Why does my agency logo not appear on a Form I just created? Check that the Form isn’t using its own Form-level branding override. If it is, either configure a Form-specific logo or turn the override off so the Form inherits the agency default.

Can I preview what consumers see? Open the Form’s Link in a private/incognito browser tab. That’s the same view the consumer gets, including current branding.

Do branding changes affect past Submissions? No. Submissions you’ve already collected stay as they were. Branding only affects what the consumer sees while filling out the Form.
