Using 'Notes' Step to Add Your Own Questions

If you’d like to ask your client a question that's not currently offered in the SALT question library, the Notes step provides a flexible workaround.

The Notes form step is a fully customizable, free-form text field found in the [Conclusion] category when editing your form. It allows you to display additional information or ask open-ended questions outside of SALT’s built-in database.

Use Case Recommendations

Here are a few suggested ways you can use the Notes step to accomplish more with your SALT forms:

  • Ask additional questions not found in the SALT question library
  • Provide instructions or a checklist, such as a bulleted list of documents to gather
  • Include hyperlinks to external resources (e.g., scheduling links, agency tools, or guides)
  • Offer personalized tips or recommendations to help guide your prospect through the process
