The Quick Actions menu

Quick Actions is a shortcut panel available on every page in SALT. Open it with Cmd+K (Mac) / Ctrl+K (Windows) or the round button in the bottom-right corner. It shows actions for whatever you're looking at (a Submission, Form, or user) plus account-wide Team Actions, and you can filter by typing. Which actions appear depends on the page and your permissions.

Why Quick Actions exists

Common tasks in SALT live on different screens — assigning a Submission, sending a completion reminder, starting a new Form, inviting a user. Quick Actions puts the most relevant ones one keystroke away, no matter where you are, so you don’t have to navigate to find them.

What’s inside

Quick Actions groups shortcuts into two kinds:

  • Page actions — shortcuts for the specific thing you’re viewing. On a Submission you’ll see Submission Actions (for example Assign User, Send Completion Reminder, Request Declaration Pages, Upload Document, Export CSV, Print / PDF, and Archive Submission). On a Form you’ll see Form Actions like QR code, Duplicate Form, and Archive Form. On a user you’ll see User Actions like Reset Password.
  • Team Actions — account-wide shortcuts that are always available, such as New Submission, New Form, and Invite a user.

The options change depending on the page you’re on — that’s expected. When a page has no specific actions, Quick Actions shows only Team Actions.

Why an action might not appear

Quick Actions only shows what you’re allowed to do:

  • Permissions. Each action respects your role. If you don’t have permission for something (for example resetting another user’s password), it won’t show for you.
  • Plan and Data Credits. A few actions depend on your plan or credit balance — New Submission requires available submission capacity, and Request Declaration Pages requires enough Data Credits.

If a teammate sees an action you don’t, it’s almost always one of these.

Common questions

Do I have to use the keyboard? No. Every action is also reachable by clicking the round button in the bottom-right corner. The shortcut is just faster.

Why are the actions different on each page? The panel reads the page you’re on and shows shortcuts for that Submission, Form, or user, alongside the account-wide Team Actions. Move to a different page and the page actions change with it.

The search isn’t finding anything. Search matches the visible actions in the panel — if nothing matches, you’ll see “Sorry, we couldn’t find any actions matching your search.” Clear the box to see the full list again.
